![]() Originally posted by G o t h G i r l s:Lol, k. ![]() KF1 also had DLC weapons and it's the same deal, you don't need them to play the game.ĭon't let the paid weapons dictate whether or not you enjoy the gameplay. You purchased the game, you get what the game has to offer. You don't need to spend $50+ to "re-gain access" to the game. Spoiler though, the Minigun is pretty trash, IMO. If you intend on playing the game for a long period of time, then go for it and buy/don't buy whatever you want. Now the question is if I want to spend 50+ bucks to re-gain access to the full game, or if I uninstall and leave a (subjective, of course) bad review for these business practices that I can't agree with. Which I guess is precisely what they are banking on, I reckon. And having had access to the minigun, it very much adds something that I am now very much missing. If the weapons didn't add anything to the game, they wouldn't sell. And saying that you aren't missing out by skipping a *minigun* in favor of 3-5 same-y assault rifles feels dishonest, no offense. Originally posted by Dalai Llama:That's a major disappointment. And paying nearly 10 bucks per weapon seems a bit ludicrous - do they go on sale at times? That critique does not apply to the cosmetics, but restricting actual gameplay elements such as weapons just leaves a sour taste in my mouth. New players might purchase this title full price or on sale, only to realize that they have to buy another game and a half to get access to the full game. I really hope there is that option - while I understand the need to monetize the game to justify continued support and updates, the price for dlc has exceeded the price for the original game, and since this is an in-game store, it's not even listed on the steam page. ![]() Can you instead of paying 50+ bucks use other means like crafting to obtain said weapons, like in tf2? Given the ridiculous pricetag the in-game store has if you want to buy all the weapons (couldn't care less about the skins, is there an option to buy them without skins?), it reminded me of team fortress 2 and I saw there was a crafting component to it. However, the next game, it was gone, and I was baffled, until I realized that apparently, I don't own the weapon - it's only been shared to me. I just got into KF2 and was surprised and amazed to find a minigun in the first game I played as a commando.
